Rooming With My Best Friend - Decisions - Apartment - Choose Your Own Story - 21
Apartment
“I
think we need to move out,” Corey said. “I know it’s not ideal, but I just
can’t keep living with Kris and not knowing if you’re gonna be fooling around
with him. I know it’s stupid Matt, but I’m terrified he’s going to take you
away from me.”
“That’s
not going to happen, babe, not ever,” Matt said, kissing Corey gently. “Kris
and I are best friends but that’s all. I realised that this morning. He’s not the
man I want to wake up to or go to bed with at night. You are.”
“So
you’re okay with us moving out?” Corey asked.
“I
am. Kris will survive. Scott or Shawn or someone will room with them next year
and we can visit each other’s places, right?”
“Of
course, they’re still our friends, and I love them to bits, I just think we
need our own space to really make a go of this. I love you so much Matt and
we’ve been together for nearly two years. I think it’s time we made some kind
of commitment to each other. Don’t worry, I’m not talking about marriage or
anything like that, I just mean we need to make a vow to each other that we
will never sleep with anyone else again.”
“Okay,”
Matt said. “I agree. Should we start looking for somewhere to live? We’ll need
to get somewhere pretty quickly, especially if we’re moving off campus.”
“Is
that what you want?”
“If
we’re moving out, then yes. Why not start as we mean to go on, just you and me,
no one else, let’s find a little one bed apartment where we can be a real
couple. We can buy a sofa bed like we have now for the living room so people
can stay or something, but yes, I want it to be just me and you.”
“God,
I love you, Matt.”
Corey
walked over to his computer and started it up. He sat with Matt on his knee as
he logged in and brought up some sites for local accommodation that he had been
looking at a few weeks before when there was talk of the group moving for the
new school year.
They
put in their requirements and had five different apartments show up. Looking at
the finer details on the apartments they saw that there were three of those
they may consider living in so Corey sent off a quick request for viewings and
within a week they had selected where they wanted to move to.
Kris
had taken the news that Matt was going to be moving out particularly hard, but
he too agreed it was for the best after the recent encounter with Matt. He knew
removing the temptation was the best way to proceed and so he made a deal with
Colt to get a two bedroom apartment for themselves so they were still
roommates, just not actually sharing the same bedroom, hoping to commit to
their girls, with no need to fool around with each other.
Corey
and Matt moved into their new apartment over the summer. It was close to the
Rec so Corey could walk to work easily and it allowed them the freedom to just
be who they were. They had never been happier. They still saw their friends
almost every day, but most nights were spent alone, in each other’s arms,
making love and then waking up next to each other in the morning, more in love
with each other than they were the night before. It was perfect.
THE
END!!
