Rooming With My Best Friend - Decisions - Guys - Choose Your Own Story - 24
Guys
“I
love being with Andrea, but you’re right, there’s something between us that is
stronger than I’ve ever felt with anyone else. But I don’t want to be with guys, Kris. I might have had sex with a
few guys but there’s only ever one I can see myself being with. You.”
The
smile that appeared on Kris’ face made Colt smile as well. Kris stepped up to
Colt and placed his hand on Colt’s chest, looking directly into his eyes.
“Do
you really mean that?” Kris asked, wanting to be sure he hadn’t misheard.
“Yes,”
Colt smiled back. “I’m not gay but I can’t deny how much I love you anymore. I
love everything about you. You’re so hot and make me so hard. The sex is always
amazing. But above all else, you’re my best friend, someone I want to actually
be with every day, living life and being happy with. You’re the one.”
Kris
had a tear in his eye as he embraced Colt in a tight hug and whispered into his
ear, “You’re the one for me too.”
Colt
pulled back from the hug, “What about Matt?”
“What
about him?”
“I
know you have strong feelings for him. Is it more than friendship? Could it
ever be?”
“No,”
Kris said without having to think. “Matt is my best friend. I love him so much
and would do anything for him, but it’s not the same love that I have for you.
You’re more than my best friend, you’re meant to be my lover.”
Colt
smiled and pulled Kris in for a kiss, “So we’re boyfriends?”
“We’re
boyfriends,” Kris smiled. “God that sounds weird!”
“I
know. I never thought I’d ever say I have a boyfriend, but I do, and I love him
so much.”
They
kissed again, this time with their tongues slipping into the other’s mouths,
playfully duelling as the passion filled kiss continued. When they pulled apart
they pressed their foreheads together, sighed and looked into each other’s
eyes.
“What
are we going to do now?” Kris asked.
“What
do you mean?” Colt replied.
“Well,
if we’re boyfriends then we’re officially two-timing our girls, and I don’t do
that.”
“Me
neither,” Colt said. “I guess we need to tell them it’s over.”
“Yeah,
we do. We need to draw a line under everything we’ve done before this and start
fresh. Just me and you.”
“I
agree,” Colt said. “So after class we’ll go and break up with our girls and
then we can come back here and show each other how much we’re in love.”
“Yeah…”
Kris said, sounding distant.
“Kris?
What is it?” Colt asked.
“Oh,
it’s nothing.”
“It
didn’t sound like nothing. Please, tell me.”
“I
guess I was just hoping that since we’re together now and we’ve agreed to go it
alone… no never mind.”
“No,
please, go on,” Colt pleaded.
“When
Matt found out about his Dad’s illness we stayed up talking all night and we
got around to talking about sex and how him and Corey don’t use condoms
anymore,” Kris said.
“Wait,
are you saying…?”
“Yes,”
Kris said. “When Matt was describing it, the trust involved, the feelings you
get from making love to someone you love with nothing between you, skin on
skin, made me want to try it. Now that we’re together and aren’t fucking around
with anyone else I really want us to try it, even if it’s just once.”
Colt
was silent for a moment. “It’s a pretty big step, Kris.”
“I
know,” Kris said. “But it will test how much we trust each other and how much
we want to be together.”
“Is
it…?”
“Is
it what?” Kris asked.
“Messy.”
“Matt
said it’s no different to fucking with condoms so long as the bottom is clean.”
“You’ve
really thought about this, haven’t you?” Colt asked.
“Not
as much as you may think. I never thought we were going to get together so I
didn’t dare dream that it could happen. If we do it, though, I want us to do it
properly.”
“What
do you mean properly?” Colt asked.
“I
mean that we need to get tested and get the all clear before we even think
about it. I know we’ve always played safe but you can never be too sure, and I
don’t want us to risk our health for what might just be a one-time thing.”
“I
agree,” Colt said. “If we do it we get all the tests done and everything,
because you know if we like it we’ll never use condoms again.”
Kris
laughed, but then he turned serious. “We’ll have to wait for that though.”
“Does
that matter?”
“No,
we’ll just have to keep using condoms until we get the results…”
“You
sound reluctant now,” Colt said.
“I
just don’t know if it’s worth the hassle. Sex has been great with condoms for
the past year, so is there really any need to change it?”
“But
I thought you wanted to try it?” Colt asked.
“I
do, but…”
“But
what? I’m cool with whatever you want, Kris. If you want us to keep using
condoms then we will. If you want us to give it a try without them, then after
classes today we’ll break up with our girls and meet up outside the dorm to go
get tested.”
“So
soon?” Kris asked.
“Why
not? We want to be together, so the sooner we get the tests done, the sooner we
know what our options are. What do you think?”
What
does Kris say? You decide.
